Latte Rehomed

Best news ever!

After a long, long wait, and worming his way into Shelley’s heart at the rescue, Latte has finally started his two week trial with his new humans.

Judging by the commentary on the Facebook page, I have a feeling he’s more than just landed on his feet.

Adopt Me!

Latte has been put up for adoption through the Hobart Feline Rescue!

He’s been available for about a week, and I was so hoping I could get up there to visit him and see how he’s doing personally, but it wasn’t to be. We haven’t yet found a compatible time for a visit. :(

I have been assured by Shelley, the lady I’ve dealt with from the beginning, that he’s doing marvellously! His desexing went well – in fact, he’s now so tame he didn’t freak-out with the vet this time! I admit I’m very proud of him for coming so far!

Taking Care of Latte

It's hard to take pictures in this room. It's always dark, but for a dreary light bulb that offers next to no light enough for a decent photograph. Also, Latte seldom holds still enough outside his cage.

If Latte knew what great people my friends are, he’d want to visit each and every one of you and give you all the smooches he gives me at feeding time.

We’ve reached our outside target of $200! And, we’ve surpassed it. Now at 250$A.

Help me help Latte

Latte did not react well to the vet. :(

Indeed, the vet (Andrew, a truly lovely man) suspects Latte may have been stray for an awfully long time, based on his behaviour. My own experience with Latte is very different, however, so I’m honestly not sure what to make of him.

He was fine in the crate, as before. Needed only a few biscuits sprinkled inside to encourage him to get into it. He chatted with me, but showed no sign of distress.

Another Latte Update

20141228_150200

We’ve settled into a routine over Christmas and Boxing Day. He’s mostly left to himself, aside from when I go in to feed him, clean out his litter tray, and wipe down his bed. He used to hiss as soon as I opened the door, but the hissing is becoming less frequent, because everytime I go in there, I arrive with yummy cat food. He’s getting fish dinners three times a day. Spoiled boy! With added water because he doesn’t seem to drink from the water bowl, and it gets awfully hot in that room.
